Recent events affecting the financial services industry

Dear Member,

You have likely seen or read news about the general state of financial services or even specific financial institutions. As consumers and/or members, this can raise concerns and give you reason to want to understand more about the health of your financial institution – Premier Members. I want to provide some information to address those concerns and put your minds at ease.

  • We are not focused on start-up companies
  • We are not focused on venture capital funds or activities
  • We do not lend or invest in cryptocurrencies

Our focus for the last 60 years has been on the most valuable asset we have – you, our members. We stand steadfast in our commitment to build relationships and add value every day to our members, employees, businesses, and communities we serve across the great state of Colorado.

We maintain this commitment in the face of every rate change, recession, pandemic and great financial crises that comes our way; much like we have when these events have challenged us in the past. We believe our focus on our members is what brings us the diversity necessary to weather any challenge presented to us.

Premier Members continues to be a safe and sound institution members can rely on for their financial service needs for the next 60, 160 or 260 years. We are supported in this effort through the oversight and supervision of the Colorado State Department of Financial Services (DFS) and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

We also contribute to the National Credit Union Share insurance Fund (NCUSIF) to provide members with insurance of up $250,000 for each share owner and account ownership type with the credit union that is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States.

For us it is simple – our focus on our members is the difference between us and many other financial institutions out there. We thank you for your membership and look forward to fulfilling your financial service needs well into the future.

Carlos Pacheco
CEO, Premier Members Credit Union
